2026 RJC & Laboratory Grown Material Standard – Annual Responsible Business Report
BECKS Group Australia is committed to conducting its business responsibly, ethically and transparently and to maintaining practices consistent with the requirements of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
BECKS is an RJC certified member and during 2026 incorporated the requirements of the RJC Laboratory Grown Material Standard (LGMS) into the BECKS Quality Standards (BQS) management system.
1. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES
During 2026, BECKS continued to maintain policies, procedures and controls supporting responsible business practices, including responsible sourcing, human rights, workplace health and safety, legal compliance, environmental responsibility, product integrity and appropriate disclosure to customers.
BECKS maintains due diligence processes for relevant suppliers and business partners and reviews its practices to identify and manage potential risks within its operations and supply chain.
2. LABORATORY-GROWN MATERIALS
During 2026, BECKS implemented additional controls relating to laboratory-grown materials. These include:
Clear identification and disclosure of laboratory-grown materials to customers.
Controls to maintain appropriate identification and segregation of natural and laboratory-grown materials.
Product disclosure requirements covering sales, product documentation and relevant marketing communications.
Training for employees whose roles may influence LGMS compliance.
Verification and testing processes appropriate to the nature and level of laboratory-grown materials handled by the business.
Internal monitoring and review of LGMS requirements as part of the BECKS Quality Standards management system.
These are the specific LGMS controls identified in the annual report.
3. HUMAN RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
BECKS is committed to respecting internationally recognised human rights and maintaining responsible sourcing practices throughout its operations and supply chain.
Our due diligence processes are periodically reviewed, and appropriate corrective action is undertaken where risks or opportunities for improvement are identified.
4. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
BECKS continues to review its responsible business practices, RJC requirements and internal management systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
LGMS compliance will be monitored through internal review, employee training, verification activities and the BECKS internal audit and management review processes.
